What happens behind the scenes
We read your whole story first
Before any lyrics exist, we reflect back what we heard: who they are to you, the memories that matter, the feeling at the center. You correct anything.
Several drafts, not one
We write more than one version and compare them against your story. A draft that could belong to anyone doesn't make it through.
Every name, date, and detail checked
Drafts must include the details you told us to keep, and never the ones you asked us to avoid. Clichés are caught and rewritten.
We listen back to the vocal
After the song is sung, we transcribe it and check that the names were actually heard the way you wrote them—including your pronunciation notes.
You're the final judge
No system can decide whether a song feels like your family. You can. If something's off, tell us in plain words.
